Volume 3 - In Community: Catherine of Siena and Gregory XI focuses on spiritual maturity in community, through the relationship of Catherine of Siena and Gregory XI. Catherine was a fourteenth century theologian (illiterate for much of her life), and Gregory was a pope who sought her counsel when he needed to effect a great change during a period of tremendous political strife in Italy. From Catherine and Gregory we learn of childhood and adult images of God, mature spirituality, knowledge of self, honoring conscience, a theology of neighbors, and living as our authentic selves in community.

Volume 4 - In The World: Francois de Sales and Jeanne de Chantal focuses on full mutuality in relationships and reaching beyond our community in the modern world, through the powerful relationship of Francois de Sales and Jeanne de Chantal. Jeanne was a grieving young widow who turned to Francois for spiritual direction. They stood on the brink of modernity, about the year 1600, and helped people bring out the sacred in their everyday lives, beyond parish walls and traditional roles.
